In our last full inspection, Ofsted judged Denbigh to be outstanding and we continue to self-evaluate as an outstanding school. Denbigh is on a journey of maintaining excellence and transforming to world class.

We are immensely proud of the recognition and awards we receive that demonstrate the high expectations and standards held at Denbigh.

National Recognition for Denbigh High School

David Cameron | Prime Minister | October 2015
“Thank you for welcoming me and the Home Secretary to Denbigh High during our recent visit to Luton to mark the launch of the Extremism Strategy.  I was delighted to meet your school council and hear from them about the work that they do in school on British Values and online safety. I was really impressed – keep up the great work.”

DfE Report into the English Baccalaureate | November 2015
“These entry rates and gaps between pupil groups are not inevitable. A number of schools have demonstrated that they can provide greater equality of opportunity for their pupils. Denbigh High School in Luton entered 75% of its disadvantaged pupils for the EBacc in 2014.”

Nicky Morgan | Secretary of State for Education | November 2015
“I want every child to benefit from the sort of education that young people get at schools like King Solomon Academy in London, Denbigh High School in Luton, and Fernwood School in Nottingham. Schools which are the real engines of social justice. That’s the sort of school that every child should be attending.”

Nick Gibb | MP DfE Minister of State | March 2017
“I would like to congratulate you, your staff and your pupils for the high levels of progress your pupils are making. Your school’s results, as published on 19 January, show that you are amongst the top five percent of schools in terms of the progress your pupils make between Key Stage 2 and the end of Key Stage 4, using the Progress measure.”
