GEOGRAPHY

Geography is the study of the interconnectedness between the human and the physical world. By studying geography students become aware of different local and global issues. Communication and teamwork skills are embedded in the curriculum, problem-solving skills are an important part of the subject and we also look for opportunities to enhance and develop students' literacy and numeracy. The geography curriculum at all key stages provides students with a greater understanding of the world that helps students to find their place in an increasingly globalised job market and can lead to careers in international business and trade; jobs in the new 'green economy' as well as potential careers in government and the civil service.
