MATHEMATICS

Mathematics provides students with the tools to think logically, show understanding through clear explanation, both written and verbal, and to demonstrate numeracy skills confidently. Students will develop the ability to select and apply techniques and strategies (including the use of the latest technology where applicable) to both familiar and unfamiliar situations in both the classroom and beyond. Mastery of the knowledge and skills gained provides students with the ambition to pursue careers in various industries including engineering, finance and Information technology. 

Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas.
