RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

The intent of the Religious Education curriculum is to have a knowledge rich personal journey which develops all students’ understanding of religious theology,  religious practices, language and traditions and their influence on individuals, communities, societies and cultures. Students of all abilities are supported to academically explore, consider and respond to a range of important questions related to their own spiritual development, the development of British Values alongside their own values and attitudes and fundamental questions concerning the meaning and purpose of life.

The Religious Education Curriculum provides opportunities to explore and respond to the meanings of life experiences in relation to the beliefs and experiences of others as well as to one's own experiences, enabling students to be positive influential members of the local community and wider society.
“Religion is the belief in someone else’s experiences. Spirituality is having your own experience” - Deepak Chopra
