At Denbigh E-safety is a whole school priority so we provide our students with dedicated curriculum time from year 7 to ensure they possess the skills and knowledge to stay safe online and behave appropriately in online spaces. We have created a dedicated P6 curriculum for our year 7 students that focuses on the risks and opportunities in the online world. A sample of this curriculum can be found on our website. We utilise the idea award to help to engage our students with this e-safety curriculum through interactive and age appropriate activities. In older year groups the e-safety curriculum is delivered through form time activities, assemblies, the computer science and media studies curriculum. We develop our students' digital character so they are able to make ethical and moral choices that enable them to be excellent global citizens.
