Facilities
Denbigh High School became a Specialist Sports College in April 2005, and since then has significantly upgraded the sports facilities.
All facilities are fully accessible for people with disabilities.
We currently attract many local clubs to our facilities.
All hirers are required to have public liability insurance in place.
All groups must have a qualified first aider who attends all sessions.
Other documents are required – please contact us as detailed below if you require more information on this.

Included in the new sports hall building is a coach education room. This is now fitted out with state of the art ICT equipment to assist with coach development, workshops, seminars, meetings and other related training courses.
The sports hall itself has 4 badminton courts, 4 cricket nets, 1 netball court and 1 basketball court with 6 additional training hoops (two of which are height adjustable and suitable for mini basketball). The lighting system is excellent and the hall’s generous height (12.5 metres) makes it ideal for all of these activities.
Located just off the hall’s viewing gallery is a dance studio with 2 mirrored walls, matted flooring, dance barres and a music system. This space can be screened off for privacy and will be perfect for activities such as aerobics, martial arts, fitness and dance classes.
Outside we have two floodlit hard surface MUGA (multi-use games area) with markings for netball and basketball.
Next to the MUGA area is sited the 52m x 33.5m floodlit (“third generation”) artificial turf football pitch (ATP).
